Contendor
Contendor is approvedby the American Hanoverian Society as well as the German
Hanoverian Verband and the American Holsteiner Horse Association.
Contendor has successfully competed at International Grand Prix in the United States
and Germany. He also competed in World Cup Qualifying Grand Prix with several
placings in 2004-05.
Contendor‘s pedigree combines two of the world‘s most successful show jumping and
dressage bloodlines. His sire, Calypso II, was an international show jumper under M.
Rüping and became an outstanding progenitor.
Contendor is the only stallion son of Calypso II currently standing at stud in North
American.
Contendor’s dam‘s sire, Graphit, also produced Grannus (sire of Olympian Top Gun)
and Grannus-Granit (sire of Dominique). Contendor‘s full brother, Monte Morelos,
competed in the 2000 Olympics with the Mexican team.
Contendor‘s offspring show excellent movement with tremendous jumping ability &
elegance and show talent for big sports.
